Simulation centres worldwide face increasing pressure to become financially sustainable amidst rising operational and capital costs. While full financial independence may not be practical, strategic revenue generation and cost optimization can significantly enhance a centre’s resilience. This workshop aims to equip participants with practical tools, real-world examples, and a structured framework to develop a tailored business strategy that supports partial sustainability for their simulation centres.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify potential revenue streams and cost-saving opportunities within their simulation centre.
  • Understand how to leverage research grants, partnerships, and external funding.
  • Draft the foundation of a practical and contextually relevant business plan.
  • Analyze real-life case studies to extract lessons learned and best practices.
  • Engage in peer exchange to gather insights from diverse institutional contexts.
