Professor Alec Morton is Visiting Professor in the School of Public Health and Duke-NUS and Professor in the Business School at the University of Strathclyde. He is Director of the Centre for Population Health Risk Informatics and Simulation Modelling (PHRISM) and Programme Director-designate for the forthcoming MSc in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the National University of Singapore.
Professor Morton’s work sits at the intersection of health economics, public policy, and systems modelling. Over the past two decades, he has contributed to research, teaching, and advisory work on topics ranging from health technology assessment to the design of more adaptive and equitable health systems. He is particularly known for his work in participatory and multi-criteria modelling, and for applying decision science to real-world health policy challenges.
An active member of the international academic community, he serves on the editorial boards of journals including Journal of Health Economics and Health Care Management Science, and regularly speaks at global conferences and policy fora. His recent projects include advancing precision public health approaches in Asia and supporting national-level planning for chronic disease prevention and control.
