Our Speakers

Ms Dorcas Won, Master Medical Worker at Changi General Hospital, is a clinician and manages a team of MSWs as their clinical and administrative supervisor. As a clinician, she is a generalist with a specialist area on patients with mental health issues. She provides psycho-emotional and practical support to patients and their families and work closely with community partners to advocate for these patients’ care and safe discharge. She is an experienced supervisor having direct supervisory responsibilities, oversight of the revamping and introduction of the new supervision framework, the induction, pairing, supervision and continuing education of supervisors. She also looks out for skill and talent development opportunities to advance MSWs’ social work practice.

 

She is appointed as the Member of the SingHealth Allied Health Wellbeing & Engagement Committee, the CGH Staff Wellness Committee (Co-Chairperson for Career Wellness) and the CGH Allied Health – Joy At Work Lead to co-create the joyful work environment and promoting staff wellness through the fostering of a culture of care, compassion and engagement. She has received Educator awards for her outstanding work at the cluster level.
