Our Speakers

Ms Nuri Sylvia Ng is an Assistant Director at Changi General Hospital's Department of Nursing Quality, Nursing Informatics and Nursing Transformation. She also manages the budgeting and operational risk portfolio within the Nursing Operations and Planning Team. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Nursing Management from Nanyang Polytechnic, and both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing Science from Curtin University. Her main interests are fall safety, data management and innovation-related projects. She has experience in bringing new ideas of innovation from conception through to the early stages of development and implementation. In 2013, she led a nursing team to develop i-COMM, a mobile application that won awards and recognition, including the PS21 ExCEL Awards in 2014. Her strong leadership and keen interest in undertaking projects that increase nursing efficiency and productivity have earned her awards from SingHealth cluster to national level, i.e., 2016 National Efficiency Award, 2019 SG Healthcare Robotics Programme (SHARP) Grant, InnovPLUS Flame Award in 2020, 2022 SingHealth Chief Nurse Award, and the 2023 Singapore Biodesign Faculty Fellowship Programme.
