With over three decades of experience in the healthcare sector, spanning both public and private organisations, Kok Cheong stands out as a passionate and visionary leader committed to transforming and elevating the quality of nursing care and services. In his dual roles as Deputy Director of Nursing at Changi General Hospital and Deputy Director at SingHealth Office for Service Transformation, he spearheads the planning, implementation and scaling of nursing innovation projects in CGH and across the cluster. His approach leverages extensive expertise in quality improvement, risk management and healthcare technology. Kok Cheong has been a qualified Singapore BioDesign Faculty Fellow since 2021, a role which has enabled him to better facilitate and mentor nurses in identifying unmet clinical needs, developing evidence-based ideas and solutions, collaborating with other stakeholders and implementing innovative solutions. Furthermore, as the current Chairperson for the SingHealth Nursing Research and Innovation Council, Kok Cheong provides crucial leadership, guidance and facilitation for nursing research and innovation projects at the cluster level. His influence extends beyond these roles, as he also serves on several expert panels within CGH and SingHealth to review and evaluate innovation proposals for awards and funding applications, further contributing to the advancement of healthcare innovation.
