Dexamethasone 1mg/mL mouthwash is a steroidal mouthwash that can be used to prevent or treat swollen and painful mouth ulcers that may result from a certain medicine e.g. mTOR inhibitors like Everolimus.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if any of the following occurs:
A) Prepare the mouthwash using the following steps.
The mouthwash is now diluted and ready for use.
B) Swish the prepared mouthwash in the mouth for 30 seconds and then spit out the solution. Do not swallow. Do not rinse with water after use.
C) Avoid taking any food or drinks for approximately 30 minutes after use.
Discard any remaining dexamethasone mouthwash after 28 days.
Do not use the mouthwash should any particles or change in colour be observed in the solution.
