Distinguished Professorships
A Distinguished Professorship is the highest honour that Duke-NUS can bestow upon a faculty member:
- To recognise and honour outstanding academics for his/her pre-eminence in academic medicine and research, and significant contributions to the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).
- To attract world-renowned academics who help build knowledge, inspire students and spur innovative research.
- To inspire faculty to work towards academic excellence.
Faculty Professorships
A Faculty Professorship provides academic recognition and support to Outstanding Associate Professors and Assistant Professors:
- To recognise and honour mid-career and early-career faculty for their excellence in academic pursuits and research, and their contributions to the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).
- To attract and retain outstanding and high-potential faculty members.
- To aspire faculty member towards greater academic excellence.
