Our Services

Collaborative Research

Biostatistics and Quantitative Epidemiology (BQE) serves to facilitate the provision of statistical and epidemiological support to clinical scientists in SingHealth. Our team members are hosted in institutions within SingHealth and collaborate on clinical research projects with our clinicians, scientists, nurses, as well as allied health professionals.

Services we provide include study design, data management, data analysis and reporting, and teaching and consultations. We also initiate and engage in relevant areas of applied biostatistics and epidemiology research.

Talent Development and Events

Talent development is an important focus of Biostatistics and Quantitative Epidemiology (BQE) and we manage the professional development of our members with individualised mentorship and career advice. In SingHealth, we have a professional career pathway for our biostatisticians. In addition, we provide training sponsorships for our quantitative scientists to stay ahead of emerging methodologies and technologies. The sponsorships are opened to all quantitative scientists in BQE. Trainings sponsored include methodological courses provided by Duke-NUS and presentations at the Conference of International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB). Jointly with Duke-NUS Centre for Quantitative Medicine (CQM), we organise networking events to bring together the quantitative scientists in our Academic Medical Centre (AMC) and beyond.
