Objective
Projects seeking support for testing feasibility and test-bedding of their innovations in clinical practice or to bridge the gaps for adoption and implementation of their innovations across clusters can apply to the *Academic Medicine Innovation Institute (AMII) Test-Bedding and Adoption Grant.
Funding Details
Tier-1 funding support of up to $300,000 or
Tier-2 funding support of up to $500,000
for maximum period of 15 months (strictly with no extension).
*For successfully awarded project, please note that a 5% co-institutional funding (based on the total approved amount) is required for the acceptance of the award.
Eligibility Criteria
Tier-1 Funding Support
Tier-1 funding is aimed at supporting Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects for further translation and development of the innovations, bringing them closer towards potential adoption and implementation within the healthcare system.
The key considerations of the Tier-1 funding support include:
Project is focused on innovations that are of moderate level of market readiness
Project is seeking clinical validation or testing feasibility of clinical workflow
Projects for test-bedding, should ideally be supported/shadowed by another public healthcare institution
Tier-2 Funding Support
Tier-2 funding is aimed at supporting and driving Proof-of-Value (POV) projects towards the adoption and implementation of their innovations across the clusters. Hence, to apply for Tier-2 funding support, it is compulsory for the application to include a co-Investigator from an institution of another cluster(s).
The key considerations of the Tier-2 funding support include:
Project is focused on innovations that are of high level of market readiness
The resources and processes to implement the new innovation are feasible and sustainable; there should be prior demonstration or validation of the innovation for clinical efficiency and prior safety and regulatory compliance registration/licensing approval obtained (if applicable).
Project should have a ready adoption / deployment plan
Project must be seeking for support on implementation across clusters.
Submission
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch to a panel for grant funding. Where relevant, applicants will receive the panels' comments and feedback on their applications.
