Clinician Investigator Advancement Award (CIVA)

Objective

Academic talent development initiatives ​to recognise and support Clinician Investigators and Clinical Trialists in SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).

Clinician Investigator Advancement Award (CIVA) is to support independent Clinician Investigators (CIVs) to further develop and mature their research programme to the next level and to provide protected time dedicated to their research programme.

Funding Details

A prestigious award that provides protected time of 0.2 FTE for 2 years for experienced CIVs to further develop their research focus. 

Eligibility Criteria

1. An established CIV
2. Applicants' proposals should define clear and measurable deliverables/ outcomes and should be greater than the current research output.
   
   This may include:
3. • Funding support
   • Collaborations locally and internationally
   • Publications
   • Clinical trial participation
   • Development of specific research projects
   • Research manpower within your team

3. Applicants who are planning to apply for national level funding, are already holding national grants, or are supported by clinical trials etc., please state the justification for the need of protected time in your application for the CIV Advancement Programme

Submission

Interested applicants are to submit the following completed files using the templates found in the zipped file through your respective ACP to Joint Office of Academic Medicine at academic-medicine@duke-nus.edu.sg by 24 May 2024 (Friday), 5pm.

• Applicant CV & Career Development Plan (to be completed by applicant)

• Nomination Form (to be completed and endorsed by Clinical HOD, ACP Chair and SDDC Head (where applicable))
