Background
Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals for funding awards made possible by the generous gift from the Goh Foundation.
The Goh Cardiovascular Research Awards aim to support and enhance cardiovascular research impact at Duke-NUS and National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). The funding priorities will be given to pilot study for novel hypothesis and new directions different from existing projects, addressing major scientific issues and unmet needs in cardiovascular biology and medicine. Proposals focusing on multi-laboratory collaboration and teamwork, aimed at securing external team-based funding, will be prioritized for consideration.
Funding Details
The award funding is up to S$100,000 for a period of 1 year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold Tenure, Research, Educator, Practice and Clinical Track faculty appointments with Duke-NUS at the Assistant Professor level or above.
Applicants must be a full-time (i.e. >75% FTE) staff member of Duke-NUS or a SingHealth institution.
Awardees of the Goh Cardiovascular Research Award (GCRA) March 2024 at the point of application will not be eligible for the GCRA November 2024.
Submission
Interested applicants are to submit the softcopy completed ‘20241104_GCRA Application Form_Nov2024_Final’ along with all materials included in a single PDF file to t.geordi@duke-nus.edu.sg through the Host Institution's research office by 6 December 2024 (Friday), 5pm. The subject line of the email should read "Goh Cardiovascular Research Award Proposal – November 2024".
