Objective
Previously administered by National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) is launching the Short-Term Fellowship FY2025 call (Round 2) for applications. The Short-Term Fellowship will facilitate collaborative infectious disease (ID) research between healthcare and research institutions in Singapore and beyond. The fellowship will allow successful local ID researchers to:
Invite potential international collaborators/experts to Singapore for up to 14 days.
Or spend up to 14 days overseas on a research training attachment at a leading infectious diseases institution.
All visits must be completed within the period of 1 April 2025 to 31 January 2026.
The aims of the Short Term Fellowship are as follows:
To equip infectious disease professionals/researchers with specific skills and experience relevant to their area of research.
To encourage, foster networking and to develop research collaborations with overseas institutions.
To provide promising young researchers with exposures to the diversity of infectious diseases research in Asia/Australasia.
Funding Details
The fellowship award is capped up to S$10,000 for either the Incoming Fellowship or the Outgoing Fellowship.
Applications with visits to, and from countries with travel restrictions1 will not be supported.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should be ID researchers in a local institution who have demonstrated current active research (e.g., approved projects, awarded grants, publications) in the area of the proposed visit.
Applicants who have previously been the recipient of any Short-Term Fellowship awarded by the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) or CDA will not be considered.

Interested applicants must complete the ‘Short Term Fellowship - Application Form_FY2025’.
