NHIC Innovation to Protect (I2P) Patent Support Scheme

Objective
This NHIC Innovation to Protect (I2P) Patent Support Scheme grant provides funding for patentable inventions with demonstrated proof of concept.

Funding Details

This grant provides funding for different stages of patent protection namely First Filing, PCT Filing, National Phase Filing, National Phase Prosecution, Grant and Maintenance. Funding for both solely owned and jointly owned inventions is considered if the invention satisfies the following criteria:

• Strong patentability in terms of novelty and inventiveness.

• A work plan detailing ongoing & future development.

• Commercial plan outlining proposed route to market, healthcare impact, competing technologies and potential industry partners.

Submission

Applicants are to submit their completed proposal to SingHealth Intellectual Property Office, SHIP (SHIP@singhealth.com.sg) through Host Institution's Research Office.

Note:

For SingHealth cluster institutions, applications for this grant must be through Head of SingHealth Intellectual Property Office (SHIP).
