Objective

The COVID-19 Top-Up Grant aims to provide Expenditure on Manpower (EOM) and Other Operating Expenses (OOE) funding for ongoing NMRC-funded projects that are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a heads-up for interested researchers who are interested to apply.

Funding Details

  1. ​The requested top-up amount should not exceed $300K per application, and to support only EOM and OOE vote. No indirect cost will be provided.
  2. Existing project details including project objectives, methodologies, deliverables and grant T&Cs should remain unchanged.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be the Lead Principal Investigator (PI)/Corresponding PI of an ongoing NMRC project with start date before 1 Jan 2021 (i.e. not applicable to recently awarded projects) and end date after 31 Dec 2021 at the point of the grant call launch^.
  1. The ongoing NMRC project must be awarded under NMRC competitive research project grants based on the programme list on page 2 of the PDF file as attached.

    Note:
    ^Grant call will be open for applications on 14 June 2021. Exception is given to project which has submitted an extension request before 14 June 2021 to extend the project end date beyond 31 Dec 2021 and the request is currently pending NMRC’s approval. For these projects, if the extension request is rejected, the corresponding COVID-19TUG application will automatically be disqualified. If the extension request is approved, the corresponding COVID-19TUG application will be processed.

Submission

All applications must be submitted and endorsed by the Host Institution's Director of Research (DOR) online via IGMS (internet accessible link) by 12 July, 5pm.
