Objective

The SG Academies South-East Asia Fellowship (SASEAF) Programme aims to attract bright postgraduate researchers from South-East Asia to Singapore research institutions for a 2-year long or short 6-month fellowship. The SASEAF Programme (previously known as SNAS ASEAN Fellowship or SG Academies ASEAN Fellowship) is administered by the Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS), the Academy of Medicine Singapore (AMS) and the Academy of Engineering Singapore (SAEng). It is funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF).

The SASEAF Programme aims to facilitate meaningful collaborations between Singapore's distinguished research institutions and promising postdoctoral researchers from South-East Asia.  The candidates may propose any field of research done in Singapore research institutions. Preference will be given to candidates working on 1) Infectious Diseases, 2) Population Health/Public Health, and 3) Sustainability, including Urban Agriculture.

Applicants may consider applying for either:

  1. Two-year long fellowship  (in any field – but preferably those named above)

  2. Short 6-month fellowship (in Infectious Disease only)

  • Infectious Diseases (ID) is a key research focus of this programme and will be administered by PREPARE. A list of potential host Principal Investigators (PIs) (ID only) can be found here. The candidate is expected to contact and seek agreement from his/her prospective host professor.
