Objective

The SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC and Duke University Population Health Research INitiative Grant (SPRING) provides funding support and close co-mentorship by Duke University Faculty and SingHealth-Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre Faculty to early population health investigators from SingHealth institutions to conduct population health research projects. The programme aims to build population health research capacity in Singapore and establish long-term collaborations with faculty from Duke University in population health research that targets the broader determinants of health, encouraging positive changes in health and social care delivery and inspiring communities to enhance their health. SPRING welcomes applications on all research topics that address the population health challenges in Singapore.

Funding Details

Each award value is capped at S$50,000 per successful application to be utilized over a period of 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria

Investigators/researchers primarily employed in SingHealth and her member institutions are encouraged to apply provided:

a. PI must have at least a post-graduate degree 

b. PI must have an official employment (permanent/ contract) throughout the effective grant period.

c. The project’s aims and objectives, and/or the same application have not been funded by other funding agencies. 

Submission

  1. Each eligible applicant can only submit one application under the SPRING Call.

  2. Please refer to the application guidelines and submit your completed softcopy application through the Host Institution’s Research office and emailed to cphri@singhealth.com.sg.
