Temasek Foundation - Ecosperity Innovations Call

Background

Temasek Foundation champions sustainability and innovative solutions to improve liveability in an abc World of active and productive economies, beautiful and inclusive societies, and clean and cool earth. The name ‘Ecosperity’ twins ecology with prosperity, reflecting our belief that doing good and doing well can – and must – go together. Through the Ecosperity Innovations Call for Proposals, Temasek Foundation funds and supports ideas and innovations for actual application through commercialisation and enterprise, to bring about impactful improvements to the liveability of our world, especially in cities.

Through the Ecosperity Innovations Call for Proposals, Temasek Foundation provides funding for later-stage applied, translational research and development proposals, and/or commercialisation efforts of innovative solutions that address liveability and sustainability issues in Singapore, benefitting and impacting the Singapore community.

Examples of liveability and sustainability issues include but are not limited to:
Air; Biodiversity;Energy; Food and Nutrition; Infectious Disease Management; Land; Noise; Waste Management;
Water; Weather and Climate; and Public Health.

The Ecosperity Innovations Call for Proposals does not fund early research efforts.

Funding Details

The funding quantum awarded for the project will depend on the extent of work to be carried out.

The project duration can be within or span more than one year, up to a maximum of three years.

Eligibility Criteria

All interested researchers from SingHealth cluster institutions are welcome to apply. The Lead Principal Investigator of the programme/project should ideally be based in Singapore.

Submission

Applicants are to send their completed applications (either PDF/Word with signatures) using ‘Temasek Foundation_Ecosperity Innovations Call for Proposals Application’ (attached) together with any supporting materials to TFEcosperity@temasekfoundation.org.sg by 30 September 2020 (Wednesday)*.

*The deadline for this grant call closes on 30 September 2020. However, Innovators can submit their proposal when it is ready throughout the year, and do not need to wait for the next open call cycle. Proposals submitted to Temasek Foundation Ecosperity outside this call will be considered separately based on its impact/merits.
