A prestigious award that provides protected time of 0.2 FTE for 2 years for experienced CIVs to further develop their research focus. The CIV Advancement Award supports awardees in their journey to become recognised as independent established clinician researchers of international standing, supported by various grants, leading / co-leading research platforms, and contributing as active collaborators and academic clinician leaders in the AMC, ultimately translating research findings.

Each submission must be made using the prescribed forms:
Applications that fail to comply with requirements in any of the templates and/or incomplete applications will be disqualified and will not be reviewed.
For applicants who are planning to apply for national level funding, are already holding national grants, or are supported by clinical trials with FTE allocation, please state the justification for the need of protected time in your application for the CIV Advancement Award.
For shortlisted applicants, a short interview with the review panel may be required. Details concerning the interview will be disseminated once it is finalised.
For successful applicants, the outcomes of the research programme / platform will be monitored during and after the award tenure. Applicants are expected to submit a Mid-term Progress Report and a Final Report with these outcomes periodically during and after the tenure of the award.
