At the forefront of the AMEI is a dedicated pool of diverse subject experts who have been responsible for steering the growth and executing the development of various AMEI’s key initiatives. These educators serve in a variety of capacities in established committees for the advancement of healthcare education and the academic progression of educators.
Advocacy Committee (AMEI-AC)
The Advocacy Committee is charged with advocating for the interest and needs of educators across SingHealth and Duke-NUS. The committee aims to increase the recognition for outstanding teaching and educational contributions throughout the continuum of healthcare education. The committee will also develop criteria with Duke-NUS Annual Promotion Tenure (APT) committee that defines academic promotion for Clinician Educators.

Scholarship Committee (AMEI-SC)
The Scholarship Committee focuses on scholarship and research that will elevate the educational mission. Committee members will provide consultation and mentorship to guide educators in their development of educational grant proposals, research projects, publications and presentations. The committee will also create collaborative opportunities for members and provide oversight and assessment of impact of educational research projects.
