AMEI Educator Development Framework
By Educators, For Educators
Become a More Effective Educator
The Educator Development Framework (EDF) is a framework designed by educators, for all healthcare educators within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. It was created by the AMEI Centre for Clinician Educator Development with the intent to provide a structured framework to guide educator development, aligned to a shared mental model of the different educator roles we play. To perform each role well and to become more competent educators, educators need to understand how to integrate the AMEI competencies across the five domains effectively.
AMEI Educator Mentorship
A programme BY EDUCATORS, FOR EDUCATORS.
The AMEI Educator Mentorship Programme (EMP) is a one-year mentoring programme for novice / early-stage healthcare educators initiated by the AMEI Centre for Clinician Educator Development (CCED). It was started by the CCED when less experienced educators from the different health professions expressed the need for education mentorship, which is distinct from clinical mentorship. For example, an EMP mentor might guide their mentee about career development as an educator, or to think about evidence-based curriculum development.
