Shanqing “SQ” Yin is an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. As Singapore’s first embedded human factors & ergonomics (HF/E) specialist, Dr. Yin has spearheaded the integration of HF/E into the nation’s public health systems for over 13 years. His pioneering contributions have reshaped patient safety protocols across Singapore, notably in how safety events are analyzed and reported. Dr. Yin routinely serves on independent review committees for serious patient safety incidents, and is a recognized subject matter expert for the Joint Commission International as well as World Health Organization. He was a certified FAA pilot but now satisfies his need for speed through go-karting.
