Psychological safety is widely recognized as a cornerstone of effective learning environments, team performance, and patient safety. However, it is often discussed in abstract terms, leaving it up to educators and facilitators to interpret how it should be fostered in daily practice. This workshop provides an immersive experience that allows participants to understand psychological safety not just conceptually, but through lived interactions. The workshop is tailored for educators who provide feedback, conduct debriefings, or facilitate learning in emotionally or intellectually vulnerable contexts.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize behaviours that enhance or undermine psychological safety.
  • Respond constructively to challenging interpersonal situations.
  • Practice techniques that foster inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environments.
  • Reflect on their own facilitation and communication styles through a psychological safety lens.
