From reflection to transformation - SimBegin®

Since 2021, the program has been implemented in more than 25 countries and trained over 2,500 facilitators – 1,000 of them in the first half of 2025 alone. Demonstrating the scalability of the cascaded implementation model. The model is designed to support a sustainable system for healthcare simulation. Through a three-tier design, the program aims at training and local or regional SimBegin faculty, capable of training and mentoring new facilitators as needed.SimBegin is accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has demonstrated impact, including in a New England Journal of Medicine study reporting major reductions in maternal and newborn mortality in Tanzania.
