The 2025 Congress, themed “Defining Tomorrow’s Medicine through Research and Innovation: From Ideas to Impact,” highlights the critical role of nursing in driving healthcare transformation through innovation, technology, and community integration.

This symposium will bring together thought leaders and practitioners to share their expertise, as well as experience in moving ideas into impactful practices, shaping the future of patient care.

The symposium will feature four distinguished speakers:

1. Harnessing Multidisciplinary Research for Transformational Health Outcomes
Prof. Katri Maria Vehviläinen-Julkunen will explore how collaborative research across disciplines can enhance patient outcomes, bridge evidence gaps and drive sustainable change as well as examine nursing leadership in translating evidence into clinical practice.

2. Pioneering Smart Healthcare: Innovations in AI, Operations, and Patient-Centered Transformation
Mr. Geoffrey Gui Kah Tack will present innovations in artificial intelligence within healthcare operations and patient care, showcasing how AI-enabled tools improve workflow efficiency, personalise care and support clinical decision-making.

3. KKH@Home: Transforming Maternal and Child Healthcare through Mobile Inpatient Care
Ms. Yvonne Lim Siew Ling will share about insights on KKH@Home, an innovative initiative that delivers hospital-level care directly to patients’ homes. By leveraging mobile healthcare technology and a multidisciplinary care team, the programme enhances patient experience, optimises hospital bed capacity and supports family-centered care especially during the postpartum period. The presentation will highlight the implementation framework, key challenges addressed and the impact of this patient-centeric model on maternal and child healthcare in Singapore.

4. From Challenge to Change: My T.R.I.P. through Innovation
Mr. Wong Kok Cheong will share his personal journey of transforming challenges into opportunities through his own T.R.I.P. framework. He will be touching on what he has learned so far in his ‘trip’ with one of the innovation projects he led in CGH and hope this sharing will inspire aspiring nurses to start on their own innovation trip.
