Dr Chong Kok Wee is Head of the Paediatric Allergy Service and a Senior Consultant at the Department of Paediatric Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). He received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2007 and obtained his post-graduate Paediatric Medicine qualifications in 2012.
Dr Chong specialises in paediatric allergy and his research interests include food and drug allergies in children, oral immunotherapy and allergy prevention. He has presented his research work in multiple international and regional conferences and actively publishes in peer-reviewed journals. He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Fellowship Award in 2018, furthering his training in paediatric allergy in Imperial College, London, a renowned and leading tertiary centre in this field.
The multiple awards which he has accumulated, including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award, Service From The Heart Award, Best Registrar Award, are testimonies to his constant pursuit for clinical excellence and his passion to serve his patients to the best of his abilities.
Dr Chong serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor/ clinical lecturer in all three undergraduate medical schools, and as physician faculty for the paediatric medicine trainees. He is a passionate educator, who believes that every student has the potential to be a role model physician to someone else. He has received Role Model Certificate of Commendation, as well as the Outstanding Faculty Award (Singhealth Residency), for his efforts in educating the junior doctors
