SingHealth Duke-NUS Education Masterplan

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Education Masterplan outlines the education priorities of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) from FY2021 to FY2025. Five strategic threads have been identified to provide guidance and alignment for future educational initiatives, so as to achieve a convergent shared vision for our relentless pursuit of education excellence.

Educational Excellence

• To build educational capacity and capabilities through faculty development, programme development and academic scholarships to establish our AMC as an internationally renowned centre of excellence in Healthcare Education and Training.

Interprofessional Education (IPE)

• To provide team-based learning opportunities for healthcare professionals in different fields and disciplines to promote patient safety, high quality care and effective collaboration.

Technology Enhanced Learning & Innovation (TELI)

• To appropriately harness and integrate Technology Enhanced Learning and Innovation (TELI) in healthcare education and equip educators with the knowledge and skills for enhanced healthcare education and training.

Operational Excellence

• To streamline and optimise educational funding and workflows.
• To ensure awareness of the Education Masterplan through effective communication strategies.

Fostering Wellbeing

• To ensure psychologically safe learning environments and educational experiences for our students, trainees, staff and faculty.
• To cultivate a supportive learning culture across our AMC.
