Quantifying the Health Impact of Preventable Risk Factors

Seminars

Overview

The Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE), an international collaboratory at the National Research Foundation (NRF), organises seminars/workshops to showcase research at CREATE and spotlight potential collaborative opportunities.

Cambridge CARES warmly invites you to the first Health-Driven Design for Cities (HD4) seminar of 2026, scheduled for Wednesday, 28 January, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM in the CREATE Seminar Room L2, CREATE Tower. The seminar will be led by Dr Belen Zapata-Diomedi, an HD4 Co-Principal Investigator and Assistant Research Professor at the University of Cambridge's MRC Epidemiology Unit. Dr Zapata-Diomedi will introduce the core principles of Quantitative Health Impact Assessment (qHIA), which comprise analytical methods used to estimate the potential health consequences of changes in population levels of exposure or behaviour. The seminar will conclude with a discussion on how projects such as HD4 can apply qHIA to inform healthier and more equitable policies for Singaporeans. Please refer to the invitation copy below for more details.

If you are interested, kindly register your attendance using this Microsoft Form and feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues. If you have any queries, please reach out to Sharyl directly at sharyl.chin@cares.cam.ac.uk.
