Estelle™-35 is used for treatment of moderate to severe acne related to androgen-sensitivity, with or without seborrhea or mild forms of hirsutism (excessive hair growth in certain area of face and body), in women of reproductive age. It also provides effective oral contraception in women being treated for the above conditions. If you are taking Estelle™-35 for the condition above, you must not take any other hormonal contraceptive at the same time.

If you are taking Estelle™-35 for the condition above, you must not take any other hormonal contraceptive at the same time.
Spotting or bleeding may occur between your periods during the first 1-2 months of taking oral contraceptives. However, if this continues after the second month, consult your doctor.

Consult your doctor about any symptom that becomes bothersome.
Using a combined hormonal pill increases a woman’s risk of developing blood clots compared with a woman not taking any combined hormonal pill. The risk of developing blood clot in a vein is highest during the first year a woman uses the pill. Other risk factors of developing blood clots include smoking and obesity. However, blood clot formation is rare and the doctor would have evaluated and weighed its benefits over risks before making the recommendation.

The tablets should be taken at the same time daily after food. If you are also using it for contraceptive purposes, a barrier method of contraception e.g. condoms, is recommended for the first 7 days the first time you begin taking Estelle™-35.
For the first pack of oral contraceptives, take the first tablet on the ____ day of your menses.
It comes in a 21-day pack: which has 21 active tablets. Your menses should begin during the 7-day tablet-free period. Even if your menses is still ongoing, subsequent pack is to be started after the 7-day tablet free period has elapsed.
Within 12 hours:Take the missed pill as soon as remembered, then resume taking the next one at the regular time.
More than 12 hours:
If vomiting and diarrhea occurs within 4 hours of taking oral contraceptives, the tablet may not be absorbed. It is considered a missed dose. You should then follow instructions above.
