The Singapore NRF Fellowship offers opportunities to early career researchers from all over the world to lead impactful research in Singapore.

The Singapore NRF Fellowship offers:
Eligibility Criteria
Outstanding researchers of any nationality, in their early stage of their research, are eligible to apply.
Applicants should be a PhD holder, with no more than 7 years of post-PhD experience;
Applicants should have excellent credentials as an outstanding young researcher and are ready to take on an independent research appointment; and
Applicants should have a good research plan that will push the frontiers of science or engineering in any of the areas listed in the table below, including the under-pinning fundamental research and interfaces between disciplines:

*Note: Please note that the list is non-exhaustive. Other Science & Technology areas not listed can also be considered.
Applicants do not need to be employed in the hosting institution at the point of application. If shortlisted for the final selection stage, applicants will be given the opportunity to approach a prospective hosting institution to obtain a letter of support. This letter will reflect the hosting institution's commitment to emplace the applicant, if selected, on a tenure-track or equivalent career position.
Applicants must not be a recipient to any similar early career award in Singapore. Research proposals which are already funded or being considered for funding by other agencies in Singapore are also not eligible for funding under the Singapore NRF Fellowship Scheme.
The eligibility periods can be extended beyond 7 years for the following documented cases. Please write in to NRF_Fellowship@nrf.gov.sg to seek waiver request.

Applicants will first need to register for a user account on Integrated Grant Management System (IGMS).
For local NRF Fellowship Applicants with a SingPass account, please register and login to the IGMS here via "Individual Users" tab followed by "Singapore Based Users". This option will direct you to "Login in with Singpass". Please sign in using your Singpass login.
For other NRF Fellowship Applicants without a SingPass account (e.g. international applicants), please register and login to IGMS here via "Individual Users" tab followed by "Overseas Based Users". This option will direct you to "For Overseas User without Singpass". Please sign in using your IGMS account or register for a new account if necessary.
Applications for the NRF Fellowship must be submitted through IGMS here by 20 March 2024, 3pm.
