​SingHealth Regional Health System

Objective

The PULSES Grant is generously funded through a Centre Grant awarded by National Medical Research Council (NMRC) to provide support in building up core population health research1 capabilities in SingHealth and foster multidisciplinary collaborations to improve and address the unmet needs of our population.

1 An interdisciplinary field focusing on the health outcomes of groups of individuals. It studies personal, behavioural and environmental determinants of health, health outcomes, and policies and interventions that link these in efforts to prevent ill-health, improve the health of populations and ameliorate health disparities. This grant is intended to provide seed money for investigators to support early-stage proof of concept and to generate preliminary data to apply for higher-level national grants

 

 

Funding Details

The grant award is capped S$50,000 per successful application to be utilized over a period of 12 months. 

 

Eligibility Criteria

Investigators/ researchers primarily employed in SingHealth and her member institutions are encouraged to apply provided:

  1. PIs must have at least a Master's degree.

  2. PI must have an official employment (permanent/ contract) throughout the effective grant period.

  3. The project's aims and objectives, and/or the same application have not been funded by other funding agencies.

  4.  Applications that do not fulfil the eligibility criteria will be automatically disqualified.

 

Submission

  1. Each eiligible applicant can only submit one application.
  1. Please submit your softcopy completed application (one word format and one endorsed PDF file with e-signatures) through Host Institution's Research Office to: cphri@singhealth.com.sg.
