Health Professional Educators today have a range of options to advance their career. Health professions education (HPE) has gained visibility as a specialised field of educational practice and scholarship. However, as educator roles vary in scope, responsibilities, and pathways and criteria for academic advancement, aspiring educators may find it challenging to prioritise areas of interest, identify activities to align and achieve personal and institutional goals, and capitalise on opportunities to develop into educators, scholars, and leaders who are consistent with their own interests and goals.

In this session, we will describe a simple framework designed to guide Health Professions Educators to formulate interests and career goals, explore options and opportunities, identify their niche, seek effective mentorship, expand their wings to nurture their own learners, craft a roadmap to advance their careers, and advance the field as change agents and reflective practitioners.
