From FY2022 onwards, the Clinical & Systems Innovation Category consists of the Clinical Systems Innovation (CSI) - Main Grant and Innovation Seed Grant (ISG).
The Clinical & Systems Innovation - Main Grant aims to promote clinical and systems innovations to transform healthcare, in support of SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC priorities.
The programmes should demonstrate potential scaling, prospective proof-of-value, and impact to be delivered within ours and other healthcare system. The proposals should be positioned to apply for external late-stage translational grants such as AM MedTech grant, NRF Central Gap, NHIC I2D / I2I or take other concrete steps to develop the technology towards adoption and/or commercialisation at the end of the project.
Awards will be based on alignment with the Clinical & Systems Innovation (CSI) funding support priorities & objectives, feasibility of implementation and scaling, degree of innovativeness, potential impact, and the promotion of collaboration between inter-professional groups.
The Innovation Seed Grant aims to promote clinical and systems innovation to transform healthcare and in an effort to kick-start early stage innovation projects. It is a funding support introduced to kickstart ideation, by translating ideas into working prototypes to gather feedback from potential users as well as to test the technical feasibility of the proposed solution for potential scalability across the cluster in support of the SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC and AMII priorities.
Awards will be based on alignment with the Innovation Seed Grant priorities & objectives, magnitude of the clinical need or gap, potential for adoption and scaling, degree of innovativeness and potential impact.
For both CSI - Main Grant and ISG, proposals that demonstrate potential for cross-campus collaboration, highlighting interdisciplinary partnerships and resource-sharing across the different campuses are encouraged. Proposals that include cross-campus collaboration will be prioritised for funding during the evaluation process.
