Clinical Investigator Advancement Award (CIVA)

Proposals should define clear and measurable deliverables / outcomes and should be greater than the current research output. This may include:

a. Larger grant support
b. Collaborations locally and internationally
c. Publications
d. Clinical trial participation
e. Specific research project

Each submission must be made using the prescribed forms:

1. CIV Advancement Award Application Form (to be completed by applicant)
2. Applicant CV & Career Development Plan (to be completed by applicant)
3. Nomination Form (to be completed and endorsed by Clinical HOD, ACP Chair and SDDC Head (where applicable)).

Applications that fail to comply with requirements in any of the templates and/or incomplete applications will be disqualified and will not be reviewed.

For applicants who are planning to apply for national level funding, are already holding national grants, or are supported by clinical trials with FTE allocation, please state the justification for the need of protected time in your application for the CIV Advancement Award.

For shortlisted applicants, a short interview with the review panel may be required. Details concerning the interview will be disseminated once it is finalised.

For successful applicants, the outcomes of the research programme / platform will be monitored during and after the award tenure. Applicants are expected to submit a Mid-term Progress Report and a Final Report with these outcomes periodically during and after the tenure of the award.
