Assoc Prof Ting’s clinical expertise as a Senior Consultant vitreo-retinal surgeon at SNEC has been pivotal in transforming patient care through the application of cutting-edge technologies. He completed a 4-year complex vitreo-retinal fellowship at some of the world’s leading retina centers, including SNEC, Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University, and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. As the Director of SingHealth’s AI Office, Chief Data and Digital Officer at SNEC, and Head of AI and Digital Innovation at SERI, Assoc Prof Ting has been a guiding force in leveraging AI to revolutionize the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. His work addresses both the technical aspects of AI, such as machine learning, deep learning, and explainable AI, while also ensuring the ethical and responsible use of these technologies in clinical settings.
