GALLOPS is developed by IPSQ and its curriculum is mapped to the Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021 – 2030, launched by the WHO with worldwide partners, including IPSQ. Comprising a series of webinars and on-site face-to-face engagements starting from October 2021 through to 2022, GALLOPS aims to accelerate action to implement global action on patient safety in Asia, establish a network of patient safety advocates and promote multi-disciplinary teams to prioritise and improve patient safety.
Through the strong synergy & partnership of IPSQ and SingHealth International Collaboration Office (ICO), more than 170 patient safety leaders from Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam participated in the inaugural series of webinars held during the week of 6 – 12 October 2021. Speakers from World Health Organization, Ministry of Health, National Healthcare Group, National University Health System and Singapore Health Services shared on a wide spectrum of topics ranging from Policies to Eliminate Avoidable Harm, Patient Safety Training, Build High Reliability Health Systems, Patient and Family Engagement and many more.
