As a senior Physiotherapist in NUH, Amelia’s primary work area is in intensive care where she specialises in early mobilisation and cardiopulmonary physiotherapy for critically ill patients. She led the pulmonary rehabilitation programme, and established its tele-rehab services during the pandemic from 2016 to 2023. She was awarded the People's Choice Award during NUH's Department of Medicine Academic Day 2023 for her research presentation entitled, "The Effectiveness of a Tele-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme for Chronic Respiratory Diseases in Singapore".
She is passionate in clinical education and has been a clinical educator for SIT students since 2018. She completed SIT's Certificate in Clinical Supervision course in 2023 and is currently the Clinical Educator Co-ordinator for SIT physiotherapy students in NUH.
