Asst Prof Nagavalli is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Medical Oncology at National Cancer Centre. She is also the Programme Director of the Medical Oncology Senior Residency programme and the Education Director for the Division. She has a keen interest in Medical Education and has been instrumental in rolling out many educational initiatives. She has designed, and has been running, a basic and advanced communication skills programme for Medical Officers and Senior Residents in Oncology to emphasise the importance of empathy, value-based decision making, and microskills in communication.
