This two-day workshop was designed specifically for healthcare professionals within SingHealth who are passionate about enhancing their understanding of clinical ethics. Ethical dilemmas and challenges are an intrinsic part of medical practice, and a solid foundation in clinical ethics is crucial for healthcare providers to make well-reasoned and ethical decisions. For instance, who should make decisions for a delirious patient requiring a life-saving lower limb amputation? How should those decisions be approached? What happens when a frail elderly patient wishes to return home, knowing it could lead to further health decline and increased risk of falls? How do we strike a balance between respecting a patient's autonomy and ensuring their safety?
