Prof Chen Chien-Tzung

Prof Chien-Tzung Chen is a distinguished expert in craniofacial and plastic surgery, with over 130 publications and book chapters. He earned his medical degree from Kaohsiung Medical University (1980), completed his residency at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH), and pursued a clinical and research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (1997-1998). His 1999 PRS journal article was the first CME-featured paper that year. He has held key leadership positions, including Chairman of the Division of Trauma Plastic Surgery (since 2007), Superintendent of CGMH Keelung (2016-2020), and Executive Deputy Superintendent of CGMH Linkou (2020-2022) before assuming his current role in 2022. In addition, he serves as President of the Taiwan Medical Center Association (2024-present) and has led the Taiwan Society of Plastic Surgery and the Taiwan Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. An AO Asia-Pacific faculty member, Prof Chen also serves on the editorial boards of several medical journals. His outstanding contributions to plastic surgery, medical education, and hospital administration have earned him numerous accolades, including the Harvard Business Review Digital Transformation Award (2024) and the Dr Kwang Tae Kim Grand Hospital Award (2024).
