Prof Elaine Cristina Carvalho Moura

Professor Elaine Moura has an extensive experience in teaching, researcher, management and service on the last 15 years. Nurse, Professor at Nursing Department, Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), Brazil; Prof. Moura is a passionate healthcare educator and loves challenge herself in multitopic of interest. Prof. Moura was Fellowship at Center for Medical Simulation, Harvard in Boston (April 2022-July 2022). Recently (2020) she was part of Lean Launchpad Singapore Programme (NUS) to build skills in healthcare entrepreneurship and also, she completed a course in Healthcare Artificial intelligence from MIT.

Prof. Moura has developed an education master’s degree approaching Mental Health, art and education; She also presented the first thesis on Simulation Strategy teaching-learning process in Brazil. As research fellow she has worked on psychometric quality properties of an instrument to measurement professional competence for prevention of pressure injury. This process builds her expertise on professional competencies development in health (technical and non-technical). She was accountable for Coordinator the first Simulation Laboratory in UFPI for nine years. She also was Director of Nursing Division at UFPI University Hospital where she worked of 600 team members and implanted The Primary Nursing care delivery model. Research interest: Simulation; Professional-Competency Development; Construction, translation and psychometric evaluation of research instruments; teaching-learning innovative approaches; Care Management, Patient Safety; Mental Health; Wounds.
