Andrea has been working in SGH since July 2003, starting out as a Registered Nurse in the Renal Wards. After 13 years in direct care nursing, she joined the Nursing Safety & Quality unit in 2016, whereby she spearheaded Quality Improvement efforts for Nursing Division, ensuring safety standards are achieved and patient care is conducted safely and efficiently. 

Andrea continued in similar spirit with her appointment as a SGH QI coach in 2017, assuming the role as the resource person for nurses to seek advice on their Quality Improvement projects. She actively helps teams implement and support their QI initiatives to ensure successful rollout. In 2023, Andrea won the SGH QI Coach of the Year award, which recognises excellence in the efforts of QI Coaches to promote and champion quality initiatives within their divisions. Andrea is also appointed as a SGH Well-Being Council member in 2022 and has been championing the well-being of nurses.
