Dr Elizabeth Kachur

Dr Elizabeth Krajic Kachur is the Director of Medical Education Development, Global Consulting.  She is based in New York City and works as a consultant with multiple institutions in the US and elsewhere.  Her medical education practice spans from curriculum to faculty development, learner assessment to program evaluation.  

She has been working with Standardized Patients since 1982 and with OSCEs, OSTEs and similar types of performance-based assessments since 1986.  OSCE stations related to communication skills, cultural competence, professionalism and many other competencies.  They range from in-person to virtual and blended educational events.  

Dr Kachur’s academic background is in Clinical Psychology and thus, her deep interest in Psychological Safety.  After working for Einstein Medical College, Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and New York Medical College, Dr Kachur became an independent consultant in 1997.  She has published widely and is co-editor of a book on OSCEs.  She has presented at more than 200 national and international conferences, both in-person and virtually.
