Ms Kate Ying
Education Associate,
Office of Graduate Studies,
Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore
Kate Ying is an Education Associate within the Career Development Programme team at Duke-NUS Medical School, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting education initiatives for early-career researchers to nurture their professional growth.
She holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Nursing from Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada. Throughout her university tenure, she actively engaged as a teaching assistant and clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students. Prior to her current role, Kate served as an Education Associate at SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute. There, she provided invaluable administrative support to the Regional Collaborating Centre's Leads, facilitating research, education, and clinical capacity-building efforts with international partners.
Kate's diverse professional background includes managing consortium programmes and leading initiatives in population health programmes and research; spearheaded school programmes addressing obesity and smoking-related health concerns among students and explored ways to improve the health of the geriatric population through research in acute, community, and long-term care spaces.
