Dr Pamela Chia is a consultant anaesthetist in the women’s anaesthesia department of KKH. As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and faculty at the SIMS Simulation Educators Training (SIMS SET) workshop, Dr Chia aspires to transform medical education simulation training in her hospital through interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and innovation. She has more than 5 years of simulation and debriefing experience, having attended the Master Debriefer workshop by the Debriefing Academy as well as the Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design and Debriefing course by the Centre for Medical Simulation. 

In 2023, she ran a small group debriefing course for simulation educators in KKH. Currently, she is a member in the Programme & Faculty Development Committee, SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS). Her research interest includes programme development and debriefing, with 3 AMEI education grants on Promoting Excellence and Reflective Learning in Simulation (PEARLS) debriefing method, advanced airway programme development for anaesthesia nurses, and obstetric inter-professional simulation.
