On 18 Aug 2023, the inaugural Awards Ceremony took place to honour and recognize all outstanding clinician researchers who have successfully received the Clinician Investigator Advancement Award and Clinical Trialist Development Award in 2023 and 2022. Their passion and dedication have propelled research forward in our AMC, enhancing our reputation in Clinical Trials.

We were pleased to have SingHealth GCEO, Prof Ivy Ng, as the Guest of Honour to grace the occasion and present the awards. Additionally, our Programme Leads, Assoc Prof Deidre De Silva (CIVA) and Assoc Prof Mariko Koh (CTDP), shared insights into the two initiatives that have greatly benefited our Clinician Investigators and Clinical Trialists. The highlights included speeches by 2022 awardees, Asst Prof Andrew Ho and Clin Assoc Prof George Goh who showcasing their progress and how these initiatives have enabled them to focus their time and efforts on their development as Clinician Investigators and Clinical Trialists.

This event also served as an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable support of Protected Time from the HODs, ACP Chairs, and institutions. Without their support, our awardees wouldn't have been able to reach this point. It's heartwarming to see the research community coming together to recognize our awardees and contribute to building a thriving community of clinician researchers across the AMC.
