SIMS
Co-chairperson, S3 Conference 2025
Consultant, Department of
Emergency Medicine, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore
It's been an incredible journey since our last gathering and this year we are thrilled to invite you back to the 4
th
S3 Conference: "
Integrating Simulation; Future-proofing Practice
" from 3 to 7 Nov 2025.
This year's theme reflects the ever-evolving nature of healthcare and the need for us to remain adaptable and versatile in our roles as healthcare workers. As advancements in patient care occur at an unprecedented pace, healthcare simulation has become more crucial than ever. The use of innovative simulation modalities such as gamification to present information and encourage lateral thinking allows us to provide the next generation of learners with safe opportunities to manage complex patients. By integrating simulation-based training across specialities and professions, we build a bridge to the future of holistic healthcare education and practice.
Over five enriching days, we will explore the breadth and depth of simulation in healthcare. Over the three days of our Main Conference, we hope to engage the growing healthcare simulation community by strengthening ties and fostering the exchange of knowledge and practices in order to further integrate simulation across the multitude of different professions and disciplines. Our internationally renowned experts will bring us through an exhilarating exploration of simulation modalities ranging from the traditional patient simulator to newer applications that make use of virtual, augmented and mixed reality, as well as artificial intelligence. In support of this, our Pre-conference Workshops span two days and will provide you with hands-on opportunities to practise simulation-focused skills and experience first-hand how simulation can be integrated into various aspects of healthcare.
Whether you're a simulation expert or new to the field, the conference promises something for everyone. Most importantly, you'll be joining a global community of passionate healthcare simulation professionals, all dedicated to advancing patient care through medical simulation to meet the needs and complexities of the future.
We very much look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new colleagues alike, so please join us in shaping the future of healthcare education, training and practice at this year's S3 Conference. Let us challenge assumptions, share knowledge, and grow together in a supportive environment.
Mrs Sigrun Anna Qvindesland
SESAM
Co-chairperson, S3 Conference 2025
Senior Advisor and Program Developer, SAFER
& Emergency Nurse, Stavanger University Hospital, Norway
Welcome to the 4
th
S3 conference in Singapore - Asia’s leading healthcare simulation conference!
SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS), SimGHOSTS and SESAM are thrilled to collaborate once again to bring you an exciting event focused on developing effective healthcare simulation. This engaging experience will offer you opportunities to learn from industry experts, engage with peers and thought leaders as well as network and form valuable partnerships.
This year’s theme couldn’t be more relevant and timely:
Integrating Simulation; Future-proofing Practice
. We increasingly see how excellent work worldwide on implementing and normalising simulation in healthcare adds value to the public and our organisations. The S3 Conference provides a platform to share evidence and experience on how integrating simulation can help meet healthcare challenges that many systems are facing.
To future-proof simulation practice, we will focus on excellent recent global collaborations like the Global Consensus Statement on Simulation-based practice. At the S3 Conference, we will consider the implications and possibilities for how we deliver and advance simulation sustainably as a methodology for continually improving healthcare delivery.
Make sure you and your colleagues attend the S3 Conference to future-proof your simulation activities!

SimGHOSTS
Co-chairperson, S3 Conference 2025
Simulation Technology Specialist, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada
Welcome to S3 Conference 2025!
I am pleased to invite you to the S3 Conference 2025, which will be held from 3 to 7 November at Academia (SGH Campus) in beautiful Singapore. This year’s theme, “
Integrating Simulation; Future-proofing Practice
,” reflects our shared commitment to advancing healthcare simulation through innovation and collaboration.
Organised by SIMS, SimGHOSTS, and SESAM, the much awaited for conference offers five days of dynamic learning, featuring Pre-Conference Workshops (3 – 4 November) and a Main Conference (5 – 7 November) packed with expert-led sessions. Key topics include:
•
Simulation Management & Technical Operations
•
Curriculum Design
•
Faculty Development
•
Technology and Innovation
As a representative of SimGHOSTS, I’m incredibly excited to showcase strategies driving technical and operational excellence in simulation with our attendees. Whether you are an educator, innovator or technologist, this event offers invaluable insights, networking, and collaboration opportunities.
Join us to explore the vast potential of healthcare simulation and make a lasting impact on patient care and education.
