While the COVID-19 pandemic has raised serious health and socio-economic challenges globally, it has also paved the way for new ideas and innovative solutions across various sectors. Healthcare innovation has seen a tremendous surge over the last 6 months as a result of the pandemic. Developments in innovation range from medical testing, contact tracing to management and treatment of COVID-19. This 3-part webinar series will explore health innovations emerging from the ASEAN region designed in response to the pandemic. The webinars will also aim to address different types of innovations such as reverse innovation and frugal innovation in the ASEAN region. The potential to apply innovations across diverse resource settings will be explored.

Exploring hospital based healthcare innovations from the ASEAN region to tackle COVID-19 Date/Time: 21 October 2020, 5pm-6pm SGT This webinar aims to explore healthcare innovations designed for use in hospital settings targeting patients and healthcare workers. This session will present examples of affordable medical equipment, app-based services and patient controlled technologies developed to tackle health challenges in hospital settings amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Webinar 2:Identifying community based healthcare innovations from the ASEAN region in response to COVID-19 Date/Time: 28 October 2020, 5pm-6pm SGT This webinar will present healthcare innovations adopted in response to restrictions in movement and other lockdown measures during COVID-19. These innovations are designed for use in community settings. This session will include technology, transport and social media related innovations from Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
Webinar 3:Applying research innovations in healthcare from the ASEAN region to test for, prevent, and treat COVID-19 Date/Time: 4 November 2020, 5pm-6pm SGT Register for webinar 3 here
This webinar will discuss recent research innovations developed to diagnose, prevent and treat COVID-19. These innovations will include COVID-19 diagnostic test kits, candidate vaccine development and drug combination therapy run by Artificial Intelligence. The panelists will explore the applications and impact of these Singapore-based innovations to other countries in the ASEAN region.
