THE SCIENCE AND BUSINESS OF COVID-19

Jointly organised by SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute, NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), the multidisciplinary series of webinars will address issues related to management and containment of infectious disease outbreaks. The connection between medicine and science to economic and business interests will be explored. Where possible, strategies that can be adopted by businesses to be better prepared will be outlined.
 
Drawing on expertise from the co-organisers and international specialists, the webinar series allows participants to access interrelated knowledge and provides a rich multidisciplinary engagement across the public sector and private industry.

 A Post-COVID-19 World: What Will Be Our New Normal?

The speakers will present scenarios on how the current crisis will evolve and be resolved. Ethical considerations in the screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with COVID-19 will also be examined. Learn about how countries, particularly emerging markets, can effectively prepare for and respond to future outbreaks given the differences in health systems, capabilities, funding, etc.
