Assoc Prof Chionh Chang Yin is the Assistant Chairman Medical Board (Medical Disciplines) and Chief, Department of Medicine, Changi General Hospital. He is also the Deputy Director of Medical Device and Apps Development, Singhealth Medicine ACP and an adjunct faculty member of the Singapore University of Technology and Design. 

He is a nephrologist by training with a special interest in Acid Base Disorders and Critical Care Nephrology. He is active in clinical research and he has contributed to journal publications and book chapters and in many areas in Nephrology. He is a pioneer Clinician-Innovator and has held various innovation grants at institutional and national levels, including grants from the National Health Innovation Centre. His work on the BWATCH (Blood WArning Technology with Continuous Haemoglobin sensor) a wireless, lightweight monitoring device that detects real-time bleeding from wound sites was published in a major scientific journal and has been granted patent protection in Singapore and the USA
