Ms Tan Wan Har Lydia

Director, Office of Innovation,
Changi General Hospital, Singapore

Ms Lydia has more than 20 years of Research and Innovation management experience. She currently leads the Office of Innovation at Changi General Hospital (CGH). Her Office is responsible for fostering close partnership with key stakeholders to spearhead, strategise and manage various innovation portfolios. She is instrumental in leading the engagement with IHLs, government agencies and industry partners in executing innovative projects across the healthcare continuum at CGH. Her office holistically supports the innovation from ideation, prototyping, testbedding to adoption and commercialisation creating optimal clinical, operational, and economic values. Lydia also leads the adoption and scaling of innovation priority area under the SingHealth-Duke NUS Academic Medicine Institute of Innovation (AMII). She is also a member of the SingHealth Innovation Steering Committee and Innovation Council which are key in developing innovation strategies and implementing support platforms for innovation across the SingHealth cluster. 

Ms Lydia has served in government funding agencies in Singapore for over 15 years. She has contributed significantly to formulating national research strategies and implementing research policies at Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Ministry of Health’s National Medical and Biomedical Research (NMRC). Lydia is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Singapore University of Technology & Design.
